Welcome to Union of Training Institutions

Union of Training Institutions (UTI) was established in 2016. The sole purpose of the union is to foresee the success of its currently owned institutions; Morogoro School of Innovation and Development Studies (MSIDS), Dar es Salaam School of Journalism (DSJ), Royal College of Tanzania (RCT),  Tanga Elite Teachers College (TETCO), Leadership Institute of Tanzania (LITa) and any other learning institutions that will be established under the umbrella of those institution.

 


Our Institutions

Morogoro School of Innovation and Development Studies


Morogoro School of Innovation and Development Studies (MSIDS) previously known as Morogoro School of Journalism (MSJ), was established in 1995 under the umbrella of the Training of Resources and Technology Management (TRETEM). It was the first privately owned Institution in imparting journalism skills and knowledge in Tanzania with its Motto: Journalism for Democracy.

With the establishment of  Union of Training Institutions (UTI) in 2016, the college has been renamed to Morogoro School of Innovation and Development Studies (MSIDS) in 2017 with intention of nurturing innovations in diffent areas, such as Agribusiness, Technology, Small and Medium Industrial machinary etc.

Dar es Salaam School of Journalism


Dar es salaam School of Journalism (DSJ) was established in 1998 and was registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) on the 3rd April, 2006 hearing registration number REG/PWF/012P. DSJ is located at Ilala, Sharif Shamba area, Dar es Salaam Tanzania.

With the establishment of  Union of Training Institutions (UTI) in 2016, DSJ has joined other sister colleges under the same umbrella, and it operates in adherence to its Motto: Media for Democracy.

 

Royal College of Tanzania


Royal College Of Tanzania (RCT), formerly known as Royal College of Journalism (RCJ), was established on 08th March 2001 with the aim of  imparting journalism skills and knowledge in Tanzania with its Motto: Fair Press Freedom for Justice.

After having impacted in Journalism especially in Electronic Journalism, the college extended its objectives by introducing community development studies as a means of imparting the society in socio-economic development. As a result, the college was renamed to Royal College of Tanzania (RCT), as well as changing its Motto to: Learn to Save the Community.

The College is registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with a registration No: PWF/004

Tanga Elite Teachers College


Tanga Elite Teachers College (TETCo) is a private institution that provides training of teachers who are expected to teach at different stages of children from early childhood to primary schools. The college is inspired by the need of helping the government of Tanzania to fight against inadequate number of teachers with satisfactory capacity for teaching at those levels of education. 

The college is amongst member of Union of Training Institutions (UTI), located at Pongwe, Tanga region and was registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with registration number REG/TLF/128.

Leadership Institute of Tanzania


Leadership Institute of Tanzania (LITa) is a subsidiary of TRETEM Network of Schools Ltd and an institution dealing with training of various groups of people in the society. These include Employees in Management/Leadership positions, Special groups like Women, Youth and People with disabilities.

LITa as a member of Union of Training Institutions (UTI) is aimed at enabling such groups of people achieve their public leadership goals through training and capacity building methods.
